Q: when float is floating on top of water, is the switch open or closed ? and is the switch considered n/0 or n/c float switch ?
a year ago- A: Hi, Here is the information we received from our vendor- "If Im understanding the question, on a vertical switch it is closed until the float rises with the water level to a certain point. Once it reaches the “turn on” phase it continues to run until it reaches its cut off point and will automatically shut off. "a year agoHelpful?
Q: is switch normally closed ? when float is vertical position ?

Q: I want to use the float to turn on and off my well to fill my storage tank. would you plug the switch into the outlet and then the pump into the back of the plug.
5 years ago- A: You use this by setting it up and then just plugging your existing manual on/off sump pump into it.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I have a 12volt battery backup sump pump and and have a free hanging float that turns on when the water rises and causes the float to flip up and activate. I want to replace the existing float with this and direct wire to battery. will that work?
6 years ago- A: Yes, this can be hooked up in a 12 Volt system.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this switch compatible with the Hydromatic V-A1 sump pump?
7 years ago- A: The Hydromatic V-A1 sump pump uses a piggy-back vertical float and the WSPBV will work as a direct replacement. It is actually the same float that is on this style pump.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: can this switch be internally altered for normally open versus normally closed? The way it appears set up now, the pump shuts off when the float drops to the bottom. I need the pump operating until it floats up and turns the pump off.
7 years ago- A: No.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Do I use this by setting it up and then just plugging my existing manual on/off sump pump into it?
9 years ago- A: Yes, that is precisely what you would want to do with it.9 years agoHelpful?
