These things are made for sand or gravel, maybe clay though it may need a finer screen...running into a boulder or bedrock would certainly make it worthless and broke with some effort...they just won't work in some places, no fault of their own, know your ground for the water table and the big stone...location location location

Got down about 8 feet I noticed the pipe was just spinning. Figured it must’ve loosened up. Nope broke right off at the top into the Coupler. The threaded end is only about 1/16 thick. Now I have a 65,00 piece of junk buried for some future generation.

I tightened my pipe very securely with well drive coupling’s and pipe,and it starting coming loose after it was 8 foot down past the sand point. A complete catastrophe.
