Probably good stuff but couldn't get it in

This is a pretty robust piece of hardware. I dug down 60" then started pounding this well point into the ground. I could not advance it through my sticky clay soil. The well point held up great to interminable bashing with a 16 lb sledge. Unfortunately I went through several drive caps and several re-threaded ends of 1-1/4" pipe before deciding to abandon the project. Probably works great if you have sandy soil. I have a high water table but apparently not enough oomph to get the well point to a suitable depth.

I tightened my pipe very securely with well drive coupling’s and pipe,and it starting coming loose after it was 8 foot down past the sand point. A complete catastrophe.
