This Water Source Well System Pressure Switch signals the pump to start when the water system drops to 40 PSI (factory set) and stops at 60 PSI (factory set). This well pump pressure switch is to be used with submersible well or jet pumps. It can be wired 115 volt or 230 volt. This water pump pressure switch must be used in conjunction with a well pressure tank. The air pressure in the well tank, when empty of all water, must be set to 38 PSI, or the switch will not operate properly.

Q: what is the difference between low water pressure switch and pressure switch?

1 Answer
  • A: This item does not feature the low-level cut-off arm that automatically shuts off a well pump when there is a dramatic decrease in pressure, such as a leak in the discharge pipes or a faulty pressure tank. For this feature please see item SKU # 102809799 Water Source Well System Low Cut-Off Pressure Switch, 30/50.

Q: What is the difference between 20/40 and 30/50?

1 Answer
  • A: The difference between the switches are the cut in and out ranges. 20/40 and 30/50 switches are generally used in jet pump operations and 40/60 switches are used mainly with submersible pumps because jet pumps have a hard time getting up to 60 psi.

Pressure Switch

I've always bought the big name brand pressure switch for my well. Wich I would have this time if available. But not anymore. Your product far exceeds my expectations. As good as Square D or even better. Time will tell.
