The Norwesco 3,000 gal. Water Only Tank is manufactured using resins that meet FDA specifications to ensure safe storage of potable water. The dark color limits light penetration, which reduces the growth of water-borne algae. These large water storage tanks are rated at 9.2 lb. per gallon, which means that they are for water storage only and should not be used for chemicals, fertilizers or any other product. They are designed to last thanks to their polyethylene construction.

Q: Hi, I bought two of these last October and one of my lids came off and can’t be found. Can I order another lid?

Q: I bought a tank about a year and a half ago, but they vandalized it by making holes in it with a drill. Does the warranty cover it?
a year ago- A: Sorry, this is not a manufacturers defect and therefore not under warranty. Perhaps you can pursue legal action against the ones who vandalized it.a year agoHelpful?
Q: How much does the tank weigh empty. 3000 gal tank
2 years ago- A: We have many 3000 gallon tanks, average weight of a tank is 350-425 lbs.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can the water being frozen in the tank, cause the tank to break? Can you put an electric heater in the tank, to prevent water from freezing? If so, how well does it work and can the heater damage the tank?
2 years ago- A: Here is the information we received from the vendor- "If there is at least 10% room left at the top for expansion of water in the tank, the tank will expand/contract as needed. The “weak” part is actually the drain fitting being it is made of a glass reinforced polyethylene that will not give and contract with the tank. The important thing would be to keep the drain fitting area insulated or protected so water does not freeze inside of it. I have been told by people over the years that use trough heaters in their tanks with some luck, the main concern would be to make sure that no heat device directly contacts the tank causing any melting of the tank plastic."2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is there a way to tell from the outside, how much water is left in the tank?
2 years ago- A: Hi, Here is the information we received from the vendor- "Depending on the tank as well as the light source provided on the other side of the tank, a limited view of the level can be seen. Sight gauges are used by some, these would need to be purchased from a third party."2 years agoHelpful?
Q: How long can water last in this tank without too much algae building up?
2 years ago- A: Hi, Here is the information we received back from the vendor- "This questions can not be answered, as there are too many variables to give a concise answer. All of our tanks use the same raw materials which have a UV inhibitor built into it. Based upon if the tank is outside versus inside, inside a non-air conditioned shed versus an air conditioned building. Is the water stagnant or is there a consistence cycling of the water? How many of what particulates are found in the water? Is any additional product being added to the water to eliminate the possibility of any algae growth?"2 years agoHelpful?
Q: can it be ordered in green from Tractor Supply ?
