Viastone Expanded Clay Rocks, 10-Liter Viastone, an incredibly useful growing medium derived from clay. Clay itself is renewable and plentiful, making Viastone a premium growing medium due to its ecologically sustainable quality. Use Viastone virtually anywhere: the greenhouse, propagation systems, outdoor gardening, around shrubs and trees, compost aeration, rooftop gardening, house plants, hydroponic growing, etc. When estimating necessary amount of Viastone for your particular application understand that the 10 l quantity is based on the standard Horticultural trade Gal. = 0. 71 U. S. liquid gallon. PH neutral/lightweight/reusable. Please rinse packaged rocks before use due to dust or particles from shipping.

  • TRADE GALLONS - 1-trade gallon is equal to 0.71 U.S liquid gallon.
  • NEUTRAL pH - Rocks measure between 8 and 16 mm in size, are inert and have a neutral pH.
  • APPLICATIONS - Viastone are great expanded clay pebbles for hydroponics, aquaponics, house plants, orchid clay pebbles, indoor and outdoor gardening.
  • INCREASE YIELD - Helps increase yield quality and quantity, accelerates blooming and maturing. If you like Hydroton and Leca Stone, you will love this product.
  • DRAINAGE & OXYGEN - Provides high oxygen levels around the root (especially useful in a flood and drain system) and pellets drain freely without holding excess water. Perfect for retaining moisture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked perfectly for my indoor plants, especially for maintaining humidity. It also facilitates root growth and development because it allows for air circulation. I thought a lot about using it on my plants since they are very delicate, but I finally did it and I'm happy with the result.

Vital for Florida plants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Growing plants in Florida can be challenge with the intense heat. You need to make sure they get enough water to flourish, without causing root rot. The Viastone clay pebbles are very helpful in allowing me to water while encouraging proper drainage. I use a small layer on the bottom of the pot, a little mixed into the soil, and then a layer on top to help keep the moisture in the soil. This pot gets direct, full sun most of the day, so this is one way I can ensure my plants are getting all the nutrients and water they need!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One bag is enough for one tree. I used it to support my indoor plant cuttings, and it worked very well — I was even able to make several plant jars with just one bag of clay. The clay holds water nicely and only needs one quick rinse before use. The pieces aren’t perfectly uniform in size, but they spread evenly.
