Perfect combination of aeration and retention.

30+ orchids, and this is the only mix I use. With such good results for over 10yrs, why would I change it?! This mix is reliably consistent in providing just the right amount of aeration and root promoting nutrients for my orchids. The coarse blend allows me to to soak my orchids in the bathtub ever week or two to allow them to hydrate really well, but doesn’t hold so much moisture afterwards that it promotes mold, mildew, or root rot. It allows the orchids to soak up water, and then holds juuuuust enough moisture to allow the roots to bask in a slightly humid medium without being saturated. Highly recommend for any experienced or new orchid enthusiast.

This mix works great have been using it for 2 months and have not needed to change the mix. My plants are still growing even as the winter begins . Highly recommend

As someone who works with plants every day I wanted to give this mix a fair shot before I swore it off. As soon as I opened the bag not just one but multiple fungus gnats came flying out. I am constantly helping people get rid of these nuisances so I wasn’t about to let them infect each one of my plants. That tells me that the soil stays to damp even in that chunky of a mix.

Great Value Orchid Mix with Excellent Drainage and Easy Care

I’ve been using Miracle-Gro Orchid Potting Mix and it offers great value for the price. The coarse texture is highly compatible with different orchid types, providing excellent airflow and fast drainage.
