The Viagrow Chunky or Ginormous horticultural grade perlite increases water absorption & aeration when added to soil & soilless growing media. Viagrow coarse grade horticultural perlite is pH neutral and odorless. Use Viagrow Coarse and Chunky perlite alone for a completely inert hydroponic medium with good capillary & air retention properties. Perlite can also be added to any medium to improve texture, aeration, and drainage. Combined chunky perlite with coir (coconut fiber) VCCB5, & Vermiculite for a great raised bed or container gardening mix. Course and chunky perlite is light weight and great for roof top gardening, hydroponic media, indoor and outdoor gardening, landscaping, bulb and tuber storage and can be used for compost aeration among many other uses. For smaller perlite particle sizes, search codes VPER4 & VPER1.

We like it chunky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received this product, complementary in exchange for my honest review. This perlite is an absolute must for my garden. I have received two 8 pound bags of the course and chunky use, one bag alone is more than enough to fill a raised bed. It’s very easy to mix in with the soil. It blends very well and is amazing for drainage and aeration. I use this for all my veggie plants, my peppers, and even my flowers. It does leave a little cloud of dust once you pour it in so just be prepared. I absolutely prefer this over the smaller perlite 100%.

Good for soil drainage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This perlite seemed to work well for my succulent potting mix, I appreciated that they had variable sizes and were not as powdery as other perlites I've used were. Overall they seemed to improve the soil drainage and the bag size will last me a long time. Would consider purchasing in the future!
