Rated 4 out of 5 by from US pellet stove I haven’t had a chance to use it much yet, but i believe it’s going to be fine. I have it wired to a thermostat and operate it just Lisa regular heater.the only thing that could be improved is the feeder opening to accept more pellets

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has options that others don't have Bought online from TSC because it would be here in 5-7 days took almost three weeks. So not as good as they say. Stove works great not the best instruction book had to go online to hook up thermostat. Came without the burnpot poker. Don't know how hard it will be to get them to send one! The four star rating can be shared by the Mfg. and TSC.

I bought this stove at menards the only problem I have had was the set screw on the agiator comes lose 3 different times and had to tighten it back up. How quiet is this stove? We had a pellet stove in our last home, loved it, but' the blowers were pretty loud.  Also will this unit fit into box built for a gas fireplace?

Asked by: RockyMtnHigh
The blowers are pretty quiet so that shouldn't be an issue. As far as going into a place meant for gas fireplace, you must be able to have at least 3ft of vertical piping and no more that 4ft of horizontal piping on this unit. Since it is an insert model you can also vent it straight up through an existing chimney as well as stated in the manual. The minimum firplace opening is as follows: Width 40 Height 24 Depth 20

There is not a remote thermostat. You can hook a low milivolt thermostat to this unit though. It does have an igniter.

Do you have to have a flue? My friends have a real working fireplace but you can't tell it from the outside of the house?

Asked by: me11
There has to be some type of venting system. This being an insert you can run the pellet pipe through the existing chimney.

In all of your documentation, I cannot find the dimensions for the fireplace opening (height, width, and depth). Also there is nothing on the necessary clearance height for the mantle.

Asked by: TomCunningham
The minimum fireplace opening needs to be 24" H X 40" W X20" D. The mantle must be 53" from the floor. These clearances can be found in our owner's manual listed under more info on Pg.9.

Do you have to vent the pipe all the way to top of chimney or just up inside the chimney?

Asked by: Sirrah1970
I fyou are venting this into an existing chimney, you will need to install a 4" liner for the exhaust that runs the entire height of the chimney. Failure to do so will add additional back pressure on the blower and cause poor performance and issues.
