Q: There appears to be mounting provisions (two screws) for a solenoid or something on top of the starter. (My 9N has been converted to 12V and the power cable goes directly to the power stud on the starter. ) What’s intended to go here, and why? Thank you.

Q: It says 6 v or 12 v - does it mean you can use the same one with both voltages? I have 6 volt system now but want to convert to 12 later on.

- A: The starter will work the same in both voltage applications. A slight rotation speed increase will be noticed with the higher voltage.7 years agoHelpful?
