Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spark plug wires I bought these for my IH tractor, they worked perfectly

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Box mis-labeled I bought the set with the box labeled “FORD 8N” only to get it home and discover the wires too short!!!!!!! They must have been cur for the “late”8N and the “early* 8N. Of course when I traveled the 20 miles back to Tractor Supply they didn’t have any other 8N plug wires! At least they did have a “universal” set so I could cut my own, but I coul;d have gotten those at any auto parts store!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a perfect fit, no cutting, no problems Thank goodness for TSC, they keep my 1951 8N Ford Tractor running like new

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low Ohms???? So while searching for spark plug wires for my recently purchased Ford 8n I ran across this set at TSC. I called TSC customer service and asked what the core material was and was told is was metallic. They gave me the phone number to the distributor and I called and asked them. They also called back and left a message. Both of those answers, along with TSC, all confirmed they were metallic core wires. The message left on my phone actually said they were stainless steel. Now I'm no electrician or metallurgist but I would THINK stainless steel would have a fairly low OHM reading on a DVOM. What I got was approx. 3000 ohm per foot. Using 2 different DVOM's. The leads also have printed on them "Low Ohm". Low ohm compared to what? A rope? Glass? Pine? I will be returning the wire set and continue my search for actual wire cored spark plug wires.

are they like the original carbon center

Asked by: bill curly
No they are not old style wires. They are Kevlar/Stainless steel. These wires are made to run on electronic ignitions with no electric loss.

Are these solid copper core?

Asked by: 58_Metropolitan
No, they are Kevlar wrapped with stainless steel. They are made to automotive standards to be able to handle electronic ignitions, which produce a much high voltage. The old copper core wires are not good for electronic ignitions, or even running an engine with the copper wires too close to any vehicle what has electronics on it, the copper wires leek current damaging the components.
