Q: Is this feeder for only the gold finches. That’s what I’m looking for. The feeder where the access to seed is below the perch. Have plenty of the other feeders but wanted one specific for gold finches.

Q: Do the seeds get wet if it rains or are seeds covered?

Q: I have been very satisfied with Stokes bird feeders. Today, I purchased two of these feeders but nowhere on the packaging does it say Stokes. The packaging reads MoreBirds but the skew number matches the TSC website listing for Stokes. Which is it?

Squirrel chewed it up
Squirrel chewed a gaping hole in it by the 2nd day. If the canister is replaceable, I'll try a different hanging spot and a squirrel guard above it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Beware - not as advertised
There are holes in the upright perch position
(Thought it was an upside down feeder to keep sparrows away)
Thought it would keep the sparrows away - which chase ALL other wild birds away including finch
Should have known by the picture on the site - those are sparrows not finch
Bought two but taking the second unused back - already put seed into one
No, I do not recommend this product.

Squirrel feeder - not finch feeder.
I'm not saying this won't work for you, but if you're squirrels are more persistent than your finches, forget it. The finches didn't like or couldn't find the tiny feed holes, and the squirrels started chewing through the plastic to get at the food. So unless you can guarantee zero squirrel access you should consider a different finch feeder. This one was worthless for my backyard.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We are sorry to hear this! Try and hang your feeder at least twelve feet from any tree trunk or limb and at least four feet up from the ground. This will prevent squirrels from either jumping from the tree or up from the ground onto the feeder. To help stop squirrels from stealing your seed, be sure to hang your feeder at least 18 inches away from any reach points. Please give us a call at 855-737-5973 for further assistance, we are happy to help!
