I use these to support 2 1/2 foot welded wire fencing to keep the chickens out of things. I needed some 3/8" 4' rebar for another project. I was about to drive to a box store and pay $4.50 a piece when it occurred I could knock the wedges off and use these. Someone complained about how flimsy they are welded. It was a bonus for me! Never had a problem with the wedges coming off in normal usage by the way.
