Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Centipede Grass is a revolutionary grass seeding product designed to fill in bare spots on your lawn. This Centipede Grass seed grows in tough conditions, including scorching heat, full sun and partial shade, acidic soil and on slopes. Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair consists of high performance grass seed, continuous release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing mulch material. Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Centipede Grass also includes a tackifier to help reduce seed wash-away and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe from harmful diseases. There are three easy steps to success: 1) prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, 2) evenly apply EZ Seed so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and 3) saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and seed turns dark brown. Plant when daytime temperatures are between 70°F and 90°F with no danger of frost. For best results, water when mulch turns light brown to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

Absolute garbage

I live in the south where Centipede grass is the norm. I've used this product once before with very poor results but I decided to give it another try. I raked the soil and added fresh soil and a small amount of starter fertilizer to the overseeded area. I did this process in Mid May when temps are 85 degrees or higher. I watered 2-3 times a day to keep it moist for 3 weeks. Nothing. I've since gone back to my regular watering. Here it is about 6 weeks later and not a single blade of grass grew.. Just like the first time I tried the EZ seed. My neighbors have also had terrible results. This seed is absolute garbage. I should have saved my receipt and the container and asked for a refund. Don't waste your money. You're better off buying seed from a sod farm.

Useless.

Bought and followed instructions. Only things to grow were goosegrass and no centipede. Don't waste your money on this product, it doesn't work.

They require soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees. Cool night time temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. Have made 2 attempts to get this seed to grow...failed both times. Pretty expensive

Product is NOT WORTH IT

Followed the directions and watered multiple times daily, and the results are underwhelming. Purchased 5 10 lbs bags for bare patches in the lawn to make sure I had adequate seed coverage. I spent a lot of time prepping the soil and spreading the seeds evenly. So much effort with unfortunately wasted results.
