Q: What is the thinner used to reduce and the ratio
17 hours ago- A: Happy to help! When applying Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Paint using a paint sprayer we recommend thinning up to 15% by volume using mineral spirits. Thinning is normally not required for an airless sprayer but can be thinned up to 5% by volume using mineral spirits if necessary. We recommend using a .055-.070 fluid tip with 25-60 psi. — Rust-Oleum Product Support 1516 hours agoHelpful?
Q: Can you apply with a roller?
4 months ago- A: Yes, Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Paint can be applied with a good quality roller, natural or synthetic bristle brush, Air-Atomized sprayer, or Airless Sprayer. When rolling, use a good quality natural or polyester cover. Use a short nap (¼”) roller for smooth surfaces, and a medium nap (⅜”) roller for rough surfaces. — Rust-Oleum Product Support 154 months agoHelpful?
Q: on new aluminum is it best to use a primer coat . for this paint
6 months ago- A: Great question, Mike. While it is not required to prime aluminum surfaces before applying Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Paint, a primer will always help to improve adhesion. A strong base coat that provides excellent adhesion would be Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Water-Based Primer. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/rust-oleum-zinsser-bulls-eye-123-white-1-gal-2001-1485290 -Rust-Oleum Product Support 145 months agoHelpful?
