Squirrel loves it, unfortunately

The birds love it. Unfortunately, so does at least one neighborhood squirrel. Can't keep it off the feeder. So either it doesn't deter squirrels or I have a Cajun squirrel. It spends a total of a few hours per day at the feeder. I'll have to try something else.

If you want to feed birds and not squirrels.

Birds eat it and squirrels don’t until the birds drop some on the ground. Before it rains, turkeys eat the spillage on the ground, after it rains, the squirrels eat it off the ground

Squirrels don't seem to be affected by the hot pepper seed treatment. I watch them chomp away and then head to birdbath for a long drink. They don't seem to mind the heat at all !!! Maybe my squirrels are tougher than most.

Wanted to try this no waste spicy hot to keep the squirrels out of my bird feeder, but it doesn't effect them. They just sit in the feeder and eat the food.
