Decent feeder, but not squirrel proof!

This is a pretty good feeder, we've had it a few years. The squirrels will climb on the branch and slide down the wire to the roof of the feeder and hang on the wire with their back feet and grab seeds reaching from that position. The birds do well with this feeder.

I find this feeder easy to fill. Just lift the roof, pour the seed in and slide it back down. The little red squirrels find their way onto it. Some of them don't trigger it and are able to eat the seed. The larger squirrels aren't able to get the seed.

Doesn’t work for squirrels

It’s more bird proof than squirrel proof. I’ve had the feeder up for three weeks and no birds are eating from it but the squirrels have definitely figured out to get the seeds. One squirrel was up there for several minutes eating himself silly.
