The Purina Goat Chow Feed is research-proven for the health and vitality of all breeds of goats. This highly palatable 16%-protein textured goat feed supplement contains whole grains and nutritious pellets. Purina® Goat Chow® goat feed is uniquely balanced for optimal body condition and can help build strong kids into healthy goats. Quality, nutritious ingredients make up this wholesome formula fortified with vitamins and minerals for advanced nutrition. Fortified with all the essential vitamins and minerals, such as selenium, vitamin E, and cobalt is designed to provide 16% protein from plant sources. Purina® Goat Chow® Goat Feed can be fed to dry does, growing does, bucks, Pygmy goats, Show goats and as a milking ration. Available in a 50 lb. bag.

Purina Goat Chow may be fed to dry does and adult bucks at a rate of up to 1% of body weight per day. After kidding, feed an additional 1 lb of Purina Goat Chow for every 3 lbs of milk produced. For young growing kids, feed measured amounts of Purina Goat Chow up to 1.5% of body weight per day. Feed with good quality roughage to all goats after weaning.

Q: I was wondering how many cups a day to feed 6 months old mini Nubians and should I feed once a day or twice. When I got them they were on Purina dairy ration but I always used the chow for my goats in the past. I think they weigh about 50 lbs .

Q: I just want to make a statement to goat lovers. If you have billie goat's the males need ammonium chloride to prevent kidney stones which will kill. We mix medicated with this for proper nutrition

Delivery Took FOREVER

The feed itself is good. Great for an old goat with no teeth, he can swallow it without soaking.
The delivery experience was HORRENDOUS. The local store was out of stock (as usual) so I ordered on line to recieve it before leaving on vacation. It was supposed to come in 3 days. On day 3, got a notice that the package was on teh truck for delivery. It never came. This went on FOR 10 DAYS, and I did NOT receive it before I left for vacation, so I had to have someone checking for the feed back every day because the delivery people will leave it out in the rain (5 steps to the shed is too far.) It finally showed up the day after I returned from vacation. I tried contacting both TS and FedEx, filed claims, and got ZERO support or information from either of them other than "Your package is on the truck for delivery." I will never order from TS for delivery again.

This must be extra tasty because not only do my goats love it but so does my guinea bird. I have offered him every imaginable treat, but this is his go to! It is pretty sticky sweet so I blend it with a less sugar based pellet feed for the goats.

Management has a recurring problem

Tractor Supply for the second time in six months fulfilled my Omolene 200 order with multiple bags of moldy disgusting product. While the store management was apologetic and quick to replace the product I discerned that this situation was not unusual. That is the problem. Management gets what it expects. While damaged product is unavoidable it should be rare. I offer this direct view with the motivation that you cannot fix what you do not know about. We will see.

I have one goat. The 50# bag of feed is stale by the time I use half of it so I throw the rest away. I understand that almost everyone feeds a herd instead of just one goat. . .but. . .any chance of getting smaller bags? postscript: the last bag I purchased was spoiled when I opened it so I had to throw it away and buy this bag, which is ok.

Recently started feeding this to my momma goat - she had triplets and is thankfully feeding them all and not kicking any of them off. I have to give her extra feed daily and read what I should be giving her in protein and the Purina Goat Chow had what she needed. Well she loves it and the other goats will try to steal her food leaving their own feed - so I'm assuming it is more palatable. Her babies are now eating it too. I'm glad to have learned about this product. They are now a month old and momma is still producing ample milk and babies are doing good!
