It's made from durable steel to keep out the strongest of predators, and the panels are strategically spaced to prevent any predators from sneaking in. A powder-coat finish protects the chicken pen from wear and tear. The door is large for convenient access and features a 2-way locking latch. Compatible with most padlocks. Easy to assemble.

- A: You are correct: ground stakes are not included with the Producer's Pride Universal Poultry Pen (CR0808).Because you are setting up two of these large, 8x8 ft. metal pens, securing them to the ground is vital to protect against high winds and dig-under predators (like foxes, coyotes, or dogs). Best Stakes for General Stability Heavy-Duty Steel Rebar J-Stakes (12–16 inches): Hook these directly over the bottom steel frame tube of the pen and hammer them flush into the ground. Space them every 3–4 feet along the perimeter. Heavy-Duty Dog Tie-Out Auger Anchors: If you live in an exceptionally windy area, screw 4 spiral auger anchors into the ground at the corners of your pens and secure the frame to them using heavy-duty wire or steel cable clamps.3 days agoHelpful?

Missing bolts/parts and store associates lied

Spent a lot of money on this and the bolts that came with it were two different sizes which is in the instructions but the braces/brackets are different and the short bolts don’t fit. I shouldn’t have to go buy bolts to put this together. Also the removable panel should have an option to put it on the top vs the bottom. When I was asking questions i was told you can make the removable panel at the top and now I have to get a new coop to accommodate this. Not efficient

Solid and rust free after a couple years in Utah

I’ve had this 8x8 cage for a couple of years now and it is in solid condition. I have seen no rust and it has been just rock solid. I see that it’s on sale right now and I’m tempted just to buy a second one. I’ve had raccoons come by so many times, and this has protected my babies. I definitely recommend this. Wins over chicken wire any day. There’s plenty of room for me to walk in, and the open cage lets air flow through.
