- A: 'Predator resistant' is not 'predator proof'. This is designed for keeping chickens contained perhaps, but NOT designed to keep them safe. A raccoon can easily open that lock and a dog or fox can easily push this whole thing over. Even a determined hawk can likely gain access.5 years agoHelpful?

Q: Does this protect chickens from foxes

- A: In all but a few remote instances, it will protect your hens. The most notable exception would be a fox (or other critter) that would try to dig down and into the pen. This would take some time and typically the chickens would sound the alarm. If you are concerned this could happen, it can be further deterred by placing the pen on a solid surface or on a sheet of welded wire. Welded wire is a very available product at most hardware or home centers in varying sizes. With the size of most critters you cold get the largest opening version.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this work for older ducklings / ducks too? We have six ducklings that we're guessing are around 4-6 weeks old and are starting to get big for their tub in the house.... not sure what to do as they get older/bigger.. thanks!

- A: Yes, you'll be much happier for ducks with a product like ours that uses a composite material for the frame and stainless steel wire so there will be no damage to the frame from the moisture and the wire will never rust.7 years agoHelpful?

I absolutely love the New Age Pet ecoChoice Fontana Chicken Pen! I've been using it as a nursery for my very young chicks, and it's been a fantastic addition to my setup. It's incredibly durable and low-maintenance, made from ecoFlex, which is both eco-friendly and resistant to all kinds of wear and tear. I appreciate that it's easy to clean, thanks to its non-absorbent properties, and the removable roof makes cleaning a breeze. Assembly is a breeze with no tools required, and the option to use it as a stand-alone structure or attach it to the ecoChoice Fontana Chicken Barn is a real plus. Overall this is a good product, however there were a handful of spots that were NOT properly predrilled for the screws holding the panels together. We had to drill these ourselves.
