I chose this machine because of the lever pull connections holding the chutes in place, seemed like a worthwhile feature and for the Kohler engine. I have a lawnmower with a no maintenance Briggs and Stratton (B&S) engine and if it is not religiously started every week, it won't start and takes removing the air filter to pour gasoline into the inlet several times to get it to start - sometimes even then does not want to start, so preferred something without a B&S engine (shame, because B&S used to be good). The machine was straightforward to assemble. I went to Tractor Supply Co and got the Kohler 300 hour oil to place in engine. The first start-up took a few pulls to prime, from then on starts on first or second pull if sitting a week. I was impressed that goggles, gloves and earpiece protection was part of the package. Machine does a great job. Recommend to stand off to the side, because if some chunk like a piece too large or a hard knot cannot be shredded it will kick back out. Also while it is pulling a branch in, the exposed part does get knocked side to side quite vigorously, This is not a toy. I like the product, it is well built, operates well and does exactly what I need it to do.
