Our DR Power Equipment Premier 300 Chipper Shredder has the muscle to chew through hardwood branches up to 3 in. in diameter and shred half-inch thick yard waste. We made the heavy-duty chipper shredder easy to maneuver, easy to use, and a terrific value! Easy grip handles on the chipper shredder chute and light weight (126 lbs.) make for easy maneuvering. It accepts all yard and garden wasteweeds, leaves, prunings, sticks, pine cones and more.

Chipper is great.

Chipper now works great but I had to remove the guard off the discharge to make it work. When the guard was on, it kept clogging and jamming. But it works great without it. I did not use it for a few months (with fuel still in the tank). Checked the oil, check the engine, started right away. The mulcher is useless.

Poorly designed, awkward to move around. The mulcher clogs frequently, the hammers pulverize trimmings into dust so you don't get any mulch. Needs frequent repairs and factory support is lacking. The chipper does work nicely

Processing large volumes of wet and green materials that are not fully dried can cause the shredder to clog. See p.16 of the owner's manual for instructions for safely removing clogs. Not worth the price

The design was very odd. When you tilt it to move, the engine is on the bottom! The baffles on the 3" feed tube don't block pieces from being thrown back out at the operator. When I fed material into the hopper, the machine pulled the stuff in so quickly that I hardly had time to let go without getting my arm yanked down towards the bottom of the hopper. Though the material was chipped pretty nicely, I returned the machine because it felt unsafe to use. Not worth almost $1000!

This is and does exactly what I wanted it to do. I had to order it, so it took a while to be delivered to the store. But it was worth the wait. The folks at Tractor Supply did a great job at setting everything up for the purchase. They even loaded it when it arrived.
