Meet the Pirtle Nursery Red Oak Tree. The Red Oak is a handsome shade tree with brilliant scarlet red foliage in the fall. This classic oak tree will grow quickly, stand strong and has a long life span. As a mature tree, the Red Oak is rounded and symmetrical giving it a manicured look but without anyone having to do the work. Simply put, once established the Red Oak Tree does all the work for you. The acorns that fall from the tree provide food for wildlife.

- Plant in full sun; space oak trees 40 - 50 in. apart

Because this tree was shipped it came in a box to protect the tree. This was not a bare root but it was a 6’ 4gal potted tree. The leaves are brown because it was boxed and this time of year red oaks will lose their leaves. The tree came in great condition and I am very happy to add it to my yard.

I ordered 4 trees they did not look great and some had broken branches. I contacted customer support and received a full refund with no problems. I will try and order different trees.
