Meet the Pirtle Nursery Pink Dogwood Tree. The Pink Dogwood is a classic small landscape flowering tree. During mid-spring it will have large, over-lapping, four-petaled pink flowers with rich, green foliage that changes to a spectacular red in the fall. The Pink Dogwood Tree is adaptable to different soil types and adds a delicate color to your landscape. When this dogwood tree is younger the pink blooms are lighter in color, but as it ages the blooms become a darker pink. The Pink Dogwood Tree looks perfect paired with spring flowering bulbs planted underneath or nearby.

Q: does this tree grow thrive in full summer sun in Columbia, SC
8 days ago- A: Great question! Dogwood trees CAN survive in full sun, but they generally struggle and experience high stress in hot climates, as they naturally grow as forest understory plants. Kousa dogwoods tolerate full sun better than native flowering dogwoods, direct all-day sun can lead to scorched leaves, dried-out soil, and increased vulnerability to pests and disease from dry environment. If you plant a pink dogwood in full sun, be prepared to water thoroughly during the summer months.8 days agoHelpful?
Q: Will you have 4 - 5 foot pink dogwood trees for fall planting?
a month ago- A: Our dogwoods when shipped are between 3 feet to 4 feet tall. In the fall they should be closer to the 4 feet in height but it depends on growing season outcomes. So no, the #3 size dogwoods will likely never be 4-5 feet tall when shipped. You would need a larger size dogwood, such as a #5. Hope this helps!a month agoHelpful?
