With this traditional style In-Ground Pet Fence, it is important to keep in mind that the collar will begin to warn and correct your dog about 3ft away from the wire at a minimum. For smaller yards, to get the most play area possible we would recommend using our YardMax In-Ground Pet Fence instead as the warning/correction will not start until they are right at the wire. Great product. I've been needing this for my new pet German Shepard. I recently lost my dog to an accident after she escaped the yard. I had to put her down because the injuries were so severe. But now with this in ground fence my dog will be protected. It is user friendly too.
