  • A: Thank you for this question! This panel will come with most everything needed for standard installation for this panel. Some customers do choose to add foam weatherstripping to the space between their panel and where their sliding glass door rests; this would need to be purchased separately. Additionally, you will need the following tools to install the door following standard installation- Masking or Painter's Tape Drill 7/64" Drill Bit 9/64" Drill Bit 1/4" Drill Bit Phillips Screwdriver Pencil Tape Measure Safety Equipment (protection goggles, etc.) Scissors If you have any further questions, please get in touch with us! Easily Installed Myself

2nd door purchase, great product, easy installation. My senior dog needed a bigger one. I put the 1st one in 2014. It would've still been there, but my Buddy's hips aren't so good. Put in XL door, easier on him. Not thrilled with the new latch, but still a win for all of us.

Yes, I recommend this product.

New dog door

Rosie and Lucy our white labs love their new door. The older door also from your company lasted over two lab lifetimes a bit over two decades. It finally wore out and we got the new one. It is well made and easy to install.

Good but not great

Seems to be a pretty solid door. Is it worth how much they charge, meh, not really. Fream is machined aluminum and very flexible. The provided nylon screws are garbage, and break the heads off with even the slightest amount on torsion... I did need to go to another box store to match the "bolts" with metal ones instead. FANTASTIC! Overall, the door itself is very good. My Dane runs through it constantly and it seems to be holding up. I recommend getting a good clear sealant if you plan on using it for a metal or wood door, as there are no interior seals in or on the frame. I used a generic black foam with sticky back to plug up the areas where air could leak through. You work with what you have. I was not about to fork up $1300 for a custom door... that's the low end

Yes, I recommend this product.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with us! We do apologize for any confusion about the included nylon screws. We would strongly recommend replacing the metal screws you used with the intended nylon, as these are better suited for longevity of your pet door as a whole. Nylon is able to shift with changes in temperature over time in ways that metal cannot; this helps prevent excess strain on the frame and prevents frame damage over time.

To further help with longevity of both your pet door as a whole and the flap on your door, it is worth mentioning that we would recommend working with your Dane to use the door at a walk rather than a run. Many customers achieve this by temporarily placing an obstacle in front of the door to force their dog to slow/break up their typical patterns and help them learn to approach the door with less force, then reward that use.
