Replacement Flap- Extreme Weather

While the actual door was easy to install, the magnets that close the flaps were installed upside down so they would not connect to the bottom piece to seal. I had to take it apart and reinstall all 4 magnets to the correct way. kind of a pain in the rear end.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Problem with magnets on flaps.

The replacement flaps work fine (at least for fall Michigan weather) but only after fixing an issue with the polarity of the magnets on the flaps. The bottom of the flaps actually repelled the sliding strips on the door rather than attract them. I had to remove the plastic cover for the magnets on the flaps and turn the magnets around. Turned out to be fairly easy to do but initially a little perplexing.

Yes, I recommend this product.
