The Notch Equipment 8 ft. Fiberglass Mid-Pole is designed to be rigid, lightweight, and resist splintering in your hands. The mid-pole has a female ferrule for attaching an extension pole or pruning attachments, and it includes a rubber boot on the bottom. The extension pole has a male ferrule end for attaching to a base pole and the same secure and quick attaching female ferrule on the top.

Worth the cost

Purchased to extend my existing 3 piece 18 foot saw. This 8 foot section is a bit lighter and less robust than the 6 foot sections i already own. The connectors though are the same quality in both the 6 and 8 foot lengths. Performance was the same and that addition in length got the job done. I would consider the tool to be professional grade. One additional note: my 6 foot sections were made in China while this 8 foot extension was made in America.
