Great addition to the splitter, welds are not super, had to re-weld to toughen it up after the welds failed but no problem since. Try to make sure you keep the wood to about 10" diameter/or split larger rounds into quarters, super easy to switch from 4 way to primary wedge.

So much potential…but falls short. The good: I like how easy it goes on and off. Nice ring at the top to hang it when not in use. The bad: the “wings” that make it four way are entirely too small. If you split any thing of even moderate size, it is truly disappointing. It’s fine with 8-10” rounds, but not a whole lot bigger. Recommendation: Hey manufacturer, you are 90% of the way to a truly good product. Ask your design engineer to step away from the computer and go split some large red oak for an hour or two…then let him do a redesign with longer/wider “wings” and you’ll have a fantastic product.
