I have a minisplit in my finished garage and I love it, but when the temps get to 0 or below it really cant function. I bought this a couple of weeks ago when the impending arctic cold snap was bearing down on Nebraska. I had it installed in just a couple of hours using some 3/8' copper and a couple of flare fittings to T into my homes existing natural gas manifold. I chose to wall mount the unit and due to the amount of stuff in my garage I put it about 6ft above the floor above a utillity sink. This is not the intended mounting height but in practice I found it not to matter at all. I do have to use a step ladder to access the control valve but that is a problem of my own doing, and no big deal. This thing puts off some amazing heat, and lots of it. The nice feeling provided by the IR output is not to be underestimated. This thing kept my nearly 1000 sq ft garage with 12ft ceilings 70deg even when it was -13 and blowing 40mph outside. I am beyond impressed with it. The pilot light and thermostat work great and just cycle the heater on and off as needed with no fuss or input needed from me. There is sometimes a very faint smell when it first ignites but it dissipates within seconds, and in a garage workshop it did not present any issues. I bought a very nice CO/natural gas detector/meter and mounted it about 6ft from the heater and it never read above 0PPM even after 5 straight days of running. Now that it has warmed up I have switched back to the mini split but I am so gald that I have this mounted and ready for the next cold snap! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Heater was in good condition and came quickly to store. Unfortunately, the heater never worked correctly and set off carbon monoxide detector twice. The good news, Tractor Supply took it back and refunded my money very easily. Not their fault and they were easy to deal with.
