- A: Yes, you can remove the POL inlet fitting from the Mr. Heater 2-Stage Propane Regulator and use the remaining port as a 3/8" female NPT inlet. The POL fitting is a removable adapter threaded into a 3/8" male pipe thread port on the regulator body. Once removed, the 3/8" male NPT port is exposed, allowing you to connect a different type of gas line with the appropriate female NPT fitting.
