The main issue is that typical chicken feed, especially pelleted or crumbles, can easily clog the dispersal mechanism, which is designed for larger whole grains like corn.9 months agoHelpful?

Worked great when it was usable

Had this feeder since February 2026 every thing worked great after a added a guard around the head
After a month of not checking on it the squirrels had chewed holes in the plastic barrel.
though this would of lasted a bit longer

Animals hacked the system - feed at will

Two issues. The deer are smart enough to figure out how to flip the dispenser mechanism with their tongue and feed at will. Emptied in about two days. I built a guard around the dispenser to prevent this from happening. Problem solved? Nope. The squirrels just chewed holes in the casing to again feed at will. It is now useless.

Wouldn’t recommend or buy again

Doesn’t throw corn just kinda drops it. Also If you order this order extra legs. Hogs tore my timer and bottom plastic piece off in less than a month of use and now have to order a new one because warranty doesn’t cover wildlife damage
