Active growth vs rest

Is active growth summer and rest winter? I grow my orchids outdoors in summer in the shade and they bloom as light hours drop in autumn. Or about the time i bring back indoors. Should I feed with heavier recommended measures (1tbsp/gal) when growing outdoors in summer?

However, the last box I got the color of the fertilizer was not pink as previous ones were. It is green like regular miracle grow…. Wondering if it is correct or if weather somehow changed it? Any ideas?

I use at 1/4 strength on 13 Phalaenopsis since I started my Orchid collection April 2019. I water “weakly weekly” my plants in bark. All are very healthy with new roots and several just starting to spike. Happy with this product!
