The Mibro 12-28 and 1/4-28 NF Plug Taps are used for cutting internal threads. These heavy-duty plug taps are made from tool steel that is titanium nitride-coated for reduced friction. Plug tap sizing consists of two numbers; the first number refers to the diameter of the hole being threaded, the second number states the number of threads per inch.

  • Made with quality tool steel that's titanium nitride-coated to reduce friction
  • First 3 to 5 threads are tapered to assist with straight and accurate start for threading
  • Plug tap designed to thread new or rethread existing holes
