The GEARWRENCH 82816 15pc SAE Tap & Die Set features ergonomic ratcheting T-handles with a 5° swing arc and 72-tooth fine ratchet for smoother, more efficient threading. The flush-mounted reversing lever enables easy direction changes without removing the tool. With taper, plug, and hex dies, this set handles new threads, repairs, and cleanups. Works great. Love the ratcheting t-handle. Makes it much more enjoyable tapping holes. Everything seems of great quality and held up to what i needed to do at the time . The taps need a little on the weaker side for durability compared to other taps. But they worked good.

Makes work easier and quicker!

When I have the option between a ratchet wrench and just a wrench, what do I pick? The ratcheting one! I decided to apply the same principle to my tap and die set, and I am not disappointed. The ratcheting handle makes quicker and easier work when cleaning threads. I was pleased to find a smaller adapter in the box as well for when space is limited. Overall, it’s a well thought out kit, and it works really well.

I really like the portability of this little set and the case it comes with. My wife actually asked if I thought that the front cover looked thin or like it wasn’t made very well. I then proceeded to drop a dead blow hammer on it while she stared in disbelief. Not even a scratch. Tough case so far.

Great tap and die set

Content of the kit is well thought out. Has all the required SAE size taps and dies needed for electrical work. First time using a ratching tap wrench/die stock. A great enhancement. Taps and dies appear to be good quality and are sharp.
