Best tap set made

Gearwrench has made the best set of tap and die sets I’ve ever used. The ratcheting function of the wrench that comes with it is phenomenal. Great set of taps and dies come neatly arranged in the case to pack to the job. I will be using only this tap set to maintain my vehicles and keep everything in tip top shape.

I have used alot of different tap and die sets being a mobile mechanic and I must say that I really like the ratcheting t handle. It makes a big difference when you can ratchet it back and forth. I have used it only once so far because most vehicles are metric today but I used this set on a skid steer attachment that uses American bolts. Everything worked really well and I was very satisfied with the results. I wish these were a 40pc set so you have more options but other than that, this is a great set to add to your toolbox. The price point is reasonable for what your getting. Gearwrench makes great products and i would stand behind them 100 percent.

time saver! the ratcheting handle is a huge timesaver! also when you're in a tight spot it's way easier to ratchet your tap or die rather than get a little turn, then you need to take handle all the way off and do over and over again. the ratchet handle is hands down the only way i would go. all the products are high quality. well organized and easy to find what you need. having it all in one case is a must. just grab your case and bring it to you project or work table, no running around trying to find what you need

Smooth funtionailty

The full set of SAE tap and die set gives a good range of options. The smooth functions of the gear style handle is great and allows for quickly switching between going in and out. The build quality is good and don’t see if breaking down in normal use. The only side side I see so far is the blow molded case is pretty thick which makes it hard to keep in some drawers.
