GEARWRENCH 27 pc. Metric Ratcheting Tap and Die Set

This is a very nice, metric set. What really stands out is the exceptional interchangeability. The design allows you to swap between taps and die adapters effortlessly. If you want a simple, highly versatile, all-in-one kit that just works, this is it.

Decent kit, the ratcheting handle helps get the job done quickly and with less frustration. 1/8npt is included, tap and die, which is a plus. However missing m10x1.25, which is important if you are working on Japanese cars with JIS bolts. The case is pretty large for what you get, not ideal if this is going to be a travel kit, there's a lot of wasted space. Taps work well on aluminum and for cleaning bolts, not sure how well they'd work on hard steel.

Great product love the size of the kit not too large and not to small for the diy or the pro really like the ratcheting handle makes it easy to be able to go forwards to backward with the flick of a finger all the parts included feel of good material only limitations would be if you get into a tight area might be difficult to use but the manual handle would make great use of that

The Gearwrench metric tap and die set is a great addition to any shop or mechanic’s tool box. You should really have this before you need it! There is nothing worse than having to wait to get the right size tap, having to stop in the middle of a job, run to the store, etc. The taps I’ve used so far are sharp and precise. The ratcheting handle is so much easier to use than the old fashioned style that work loose after a few turns. As an added unexpected bonus the ratcheting flex handle from the Gearwrench serpentine belt tool set also uses the same size as the tap and die holders!
