The GEARWRENCH 7 pc. Bolt Biter Extraction Socket Set is the revolutionary new extraction socket system from GEARWRENCH. We talked with auto mechanics and industrial techs to learn what they hated about existing extraction sockets, and this extraction socket set redefines extraction and solves all of their frustrations. The set contains 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, and 14mm sockets along with a 1/4 in drive adapter and a 3/8 in drive adapter. High-visibility laser etched markings provide quick size identification so you always have the right tool close at hand. The socket set's bi-directional design was made specifically for removing or tightening damaged fasteners.

    I sent TSC an email the same day as I placed the order in the store. I asked for a swap to the SAE set. Same pricing, so I thought it would be alright. I'm not sure how fast they check their emails, but I received a second set of Metric, of ehich I have no use for.

    Stripped a 14 mm bolt head to a round with a six point socket and impact driver. This set has a hexagonally shaped back that can be turned with a socket and ½ drive which is a big plus. I was skeptical about the straight inner flutes as other sets have flutes that are canted, but this worked great and also was helpful in reinstalling the stripped bolt when a new replacement bolt was not available. The small 8 mm extractor was very helpful in removing a badly rusted 10 mm screw that was only a stub.
