Q: What is the coverage for the quart size? I cannot find a sheet on the quart, just the gallon. Thanks!
a year ago1 Answer
- A: Hi Neighbor! A quart of paint typically covers around 100 square feet of surface area.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Does it need thinned out before application?
3 years ago1 Answer
- A: Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamels are high solids, industrial oil/alkyd coatings – reduction is necessary for spray application at a ratio of 8:1 (8 parts Majic T&I Primer or Enamel, to 1 part Majic Reducer). The reduction amount may vary based on the type of equipment being used, the atmospheric conditions at the time of application, and of course your own personal preferences (HVLP & Gravity feed guns may require a greater reduction – and doing so will not harm the performance of the host product). Proper reduction will result in a consistent atomization of product and allow for greater “flow & leveling” of applied product (reduces, or eliminates “orange peel” texture). For brush & roll application, reduction is recommended between 5-10% (with Majic Reducer) to (help control & maintain the recommended applied thickness of 2.5 mils wet, (b) promote better “flow & leveling” to minimize, or eliminate, brush lines and roller marks from drying into the applied film. With either application (spray or brush/roll), be sure to follow package directions carefully – with special attention to the recommended applied thickness, and the allowable recoat time (24 hours…minimum). Too heavy an application, and/or recoating too soon will result in a film that won’t dry “hard” for several days…or longer.3 years agoHelpful?
