Majic Tractor Truck & Implement Enamel Paint is a durable, heavy-duty alkyd enamel paint specially formulated for excellent adhesion, and resistance to weathering and corrosion. It may be applied by brush or spray, and dries to a high gloss finish. For use on iron, steel, aluminum and properly primed galvanized metal. It dries to a high gloss finish. Available in 1 gal. cans of paint.

Excellent paint

I first tried the majestic tractor,truck, and implement paint over a year ago to paint a 96 S10 truck came out great! Paint was very easy to work with, the paint has held up great in the S.C. sun so I did not hesitate when wanting to repaint my 2000 S10 and picked out the Kubota Orange to paint the truck and I was not disappointed the paint came out great! I would recommend this paint to anyone also the excellent customer support that I received from Majestic Paints when I called with a few questions. Again I would recommend their products to anyone definitely a high quality product.

Well, it does cover like paint

If you need to paint something orange, this will work for you. As far as paint goes, it does well when applied with a HVLP spray gun. Unfortunately, it really isn't Kubota Orange. We needed to finish off an older tractor (1978 L-185) that was started with Valspar Kubota Orange. Since this brand is no longer carried at the TSC stores we shop at, we figured that you couldn't really mess up too bad with a pre-tinted paint. Well, we were wrong. This paint *IS NOT* original Kubota Orange. Once we shot the remaining sheet metal pieces and took them outside to install, we noticed that the new paint did not match the paint from last weekend. It wasn't even close. So, we ended up spending an extra four hours removing the hood and one fender painted with an accurate color in order to get it all to match. When we finished we parked the newly painted tractor inside the barn next to our almost new MX-4700. As it turns out, this color isn't even New Kubota Orange. Even in direct sunlight there is a noticable difference. It is a tad darker (more red). Maybe it is supposed to be Kioti Orange, or something else entirely. It was quite a disappointment after all of that work.
So, if you need to have *accurate* colors, go with Valspar - they offer both Kubota Orange and New Kubota Orange (and mark them as such). If you really don't care that much about accuracy, I guess this paint will get the job done. You will not save any money by choosing this paint over Valspar though.

Works but take care

I just used it to paint a grapple I made. It went on well using the TS thinner. The gallon itself still had lumps after minutes of mixing with a drill. I ended up straining it through a screen, and it worked fine.

Excellent finish, slow to cure

I bought the Kubota orange paint and it is an excellent color match. Follow the directions for temp application and stir well before using. It does take a while to cure, and you need to leave plenty of time between coats, (ideally several days) otherwise the second coat softens and wrinkles the first. It does produce an excellent gloss finish, but dont use in a rush job. I like the end result, but you cant hurry with this paint.

I painted Several Projects with this paint. came out good and has held up well. Use the Majic Hardener and reducer it works well, even thought the hardener and reducer are a little more expensive it is still the cheapest paint for the quality on the market. where else can you get a gallon and a 1/4 of quality paint for about 80 bucks.
