- A: We recommend one of two types: *Concrete *Wood Frame. Select the type, but know the surface must be level and flat before installation. If the surface is not properly leveled and flat, the shed will not assemble correctly. Proper surface leveling will save you time in the long run, so please don’t ignore this step. We recommend a Concrete platform. It will be the most durable and long-lasting choice. The platform you choose must be built above ground in order to avoid water pooling inside the shed. All lumber must be rated for outdoor use. Detailed instructions on how to construct a proper platform can be found in the product manual which can be downloaded at www.lifetime.com.3 months agoHelpful?

This shed replaced a pair of 30-plus-year-old metal sheds. We installed it on a very flat slab, as a result the shed side panels fit into the floor and mated to adjacent side panels very well. The instructions are generally well-written and easy to follow, but read them carefully to prevent rework. For the most part the sub-assemblies went together well. One door required use of pipe clamps to press the pivot rod into position. Once I had finished the sub-assemblies, just over half of the assembly was a two-person job, only one operation required three people. The packaging is very efficient, with the downside that you will have to temporarily unpack both boxes to find all the "early install" parts, but that's a trade-off, not a complaint. It looks great, doors swing nicely

Leaks everytime it rains, floor floods. Doors dont align right. Skylight broke. Screws broke when attached to parts. Parts dont fit right. Floor didnt align with doors.

I love the shed and just finished assembly. The doors, however are non adjustable and I am having trouble closing them because where they come together there is not enough clearance and they are too tight

SCREWS ARE FALLING OUT, AND THE BAR OVER ONE SET OF DOUBLE DOORS IS FALLING DOWN BECAUSE OF IT. EVERYTIME I WALK OUT THERE MORE SCREWS HAVE FALLEN OUT, I DON'T KNOW WHY. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL ACTUALLY STAY STANDING.
