- A: Sorry, the shed is packaged with the doors for the 8' side. The shed needs to be assembled with the doors. If it were available to purchase the side without the door, you would need to contact our Customer Service Team for that. Some modifications could void your warranty so you'll also want to be sure first. Our Customer Service Team can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. - A: You must provide a platform on which to assemble your shed. Proper building permit documentation may be required in your neighborhood. Consult all local building codes prior to assembling the shed. Before beginning assembly, you must pour or construct a platform. There are two types: *Concrete *Wood Frame. Select the type, but know the surface must be level and flat before installation. If the surface is not properly leveled and flat, the shed will not assemble correctly. Proper surface leveling will save you time in the long run, so please don’t ignore this step. We recommend a Concrete platform. It will be the most durable and long-lasting choice. The platform you choose must be built above ground in order to avoid water pooling inside the shed. All lumber must be rated for outdoor use. Detailed instructions on how to construct a proper platform can be found in the product manual which can be downloaded at www.lifetime.com.a year agoHelpful?

Q: Are these waterproof?

- A: Our Shed products are weather resistant, but not water tight or water proof. Water can get between the seams of the roof panels which is then collected by the truss channel and drained outside the shed. You should not have any water inside of the shed. If you notice any leaks, you can seal those with silicon.a year agoHelpful?

Shed not worth buying.

I considered myself a very handy person. This shed is a nightmare to build. Directions are very vague at best. Even trying to use the video, which are linked by QR codes in the printed instructions, is not completely easy because videos obviously a previous model. So you are constantly guessing that things are done correctly. Worse the directions state a way to build a shed under ideal conditions (I.e. inside a large room, like in the videos). My co builders and I had multiple parts of the shed collapse multiple times. The collapse were purely because the directions are bad. The shed will not stay supported as you build if you follow the directions. We did not have bad weather, other than a sunny summer day, and the shed would stand on its own through the process. Regardless, we still have broken parts that I now need to find replacements for. I could not, in any way, advocate for buying this shed.

Great Product Easy Install

Bought this shed to use instead of rental storage unit. Installation takes some time but is easy to follow. Videos were a great help too.

Cabin in the woods

My little cabin in the woods. Just completed the install of my 8 x 20 shed and I must say it was a little overwhelming when I received and opened the boxes. Instructions were for the most part clear and concise. I choose to install on a pier and beam style foundation with 3/4in plywood for the floor. Walls went up without any issues, but the roof segments were a little cumbersome. I recommend not fully tightening the screws until all segments are up. I followed the directions line item by line item but when finished I still have a bag full of screws. I will follow up with the manufacturer to see if this is normal or if I missed something. Overall completed the install by myself with only the need for help when I installed the upper skylight panels. Would highly recommend this product!
