However, you must provide a platform on which to assemble your shed. Proper building permit documentation may be required in your neighborhood. Consult all local building codes prior to assembling the shed. Before beginning assembly, you must pour or construct a platform. There are two types: *Concrete *Wood Frame. Select the type, but know the surface must be level and flat before installation. If the surface is not properly leveled and flat, the shed will not assemble correctly. Proper surface leveling will save you time in the long run, so please don’t ignore this step. We recommend a Concrete platform. It will be the most durable and long-lasting choice. The platform you choose must be built above ground in order to avoid water pooling inside the shed. All lumber must be rated for outdoor use. Q: living in Indiana The other day was 39 below zero wind chill with heavy snow how will lifetime sheds hold up with this kind of weather conditions

- A: The HDPE that our sheds are made of has a brittleness temperature of -132° F. So it should perform well at the -40°. I would avoid impacting it at that low of temperature because at that temperature it may be more brittle that in warmer temperatures. Our sheds are sold all over North America from Canada to Mexico and are subject to a wide range of temperatures.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: Are there "gaps" that form along theroof line or corners? We have a smaller Rubbermade garden 'closet' type shed and after 6 months the plastic has bend and warped so that there are gaps in the corners now ( live in FL and it is in the sun so it gets hot)

- A: This should not happen. If you are concerned about small gaps, they can always be sealed with a bit of silicon if needed. There should not be any warping. This is my second Lifetime shed. Seeing how I lived on top of a mountain up North no amount of snow was to much weight for this shed as it was common to get 25 inches of snow. 10 years later and it's still like new. Moving into another house being so happy with it I bought the same one. I'm curious though reading the other reviews how these people had problems installing them as ithere is a step by step video showing bei put together. Enough that my 12 year old could do it if he didn't need help lifting the roof into place. Do they have to same problem assembling Legos as well?

I purchased a lifetime 60178 shed about 1 mos ago and I must say I am impressed with the look, the structural strength, quality of material, fit and finish. 3 men took about 7 hours to setup. Came out better than I expected. Very happy with my purchase.
