This Kohler SH265 6.5 HP Engine, (Horizontal Shaft) Single Cylinder 3/4 in. Crankshaft with Electric Start with Recoil has a crankshaft that is 0.75 in. diameter and 2.42 in. PTO length and tapped 5/16-24 UNF. It has recoil and electric start with key box and 10 A charging.

Replacement engine for a Tecumsch 6 HP. Will the mounting bolt be the same spacing for a Kohler SH265 6.5 HP engine.

They should be. If the Tecumseh is really old you might have to drill a couple of new holes.

Can this engine be used as a direct replacement for a Briggs and Stratton model number: 35202 type: 1259E1

This has the same foot print and crankshaft height as a standard Briggs. This one has electric start as an option. There also is a standard recoil start. It will replace most standard Briggs engines less than 6.5hp.
