KBS DiamondFinish Clear 1K Aerosol in Gloss gives you a gun quality shine without the gun. It sprays at 90 to 95 percent gloss, the deep wet look you want on a freshly painted hood, a repaired fender, wheels, a polished exhaust stack, aluminum diamond plate, or the show trailer that has to look right at the fairgrounds. There is no primer to shoot first, no hardener to mix, and no spray gun to clean afterward. It sprays direct to steel, cast iron, aluminum, chrome, and stainless, or right over cured paint with minimal prep. It dries water clear and stays clear, reaching 5H pencil hardness in about 5 days, and it resists fuel, fertilizer, battery acid, and most solvents. It is rated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and will not yellow, crack, or peel. One can covers up to 35 sq ft. Recoat in 1 to 2 hours with full cure in about 48 hours. It is UV stable but does not block UV, so the color under it must be UV stable in full sun. Made in the USA.Prep the same way you would for any quality finish. Over cured paint, wash with KBS Klean diluted 10 parts hot water to 1 part cleaner, scuff with 600 to 1200 grit, clean again, rinse, and dry. On bare ferrous metal, sand or polish to the finish you want, then clean at that same 10 to 1 dilution. On aluminum, brass, or copper, use 25 parts hot water to 1 part KBS Klean, wipe rather than soak, and rinse immediately. Never wipe with a solvent rag or a tack cloth before spraying, because the residue causes fisheyes. Going over another brand of aerosol, wait at least 3 days and test a scrap area first. Spray between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit at 70 percent humidity or lower. Shake the can a full minute after the ball rattles, then 10 seconds every minute or two while you work. Hold it 8 to 10 inches off the surface, keep it moving, and overlap each stroke. Thin coats win and heavy coats run. Recoat in 1 to 2 hours. For maximum gloss, lay 4 passes, wait 10 to 15 minutes, then lay 4 more.
