The Ingersoll Rand TS4N5 Reciprocating Air Compressor provides reliability and performance for most applications and users including automotive service and body shops, fleet maintenance, machine shops, production and manufacturing lines, wood working shops, dry cleaners, car washes, general maintenance/repair shops and farms. The air compressor has a cast iron pump construction that provides trouble-free use for over 15,000 hours. The individually cast cylinders, overhung crankshaft and one piece connecting rod allow for easy maintenance of the reciprocating air compressor. Use of All Season Select synthetic lubricant in the air compressor allows for 2,000 hours of service between changeouts. Warranty coverage is available.

I purchased this compressor 1.5 years ago. I have done everything from sand blasting to running impact wrenches to inflating large tractor tires. It has done great with no problems. I would recommend it.

Bought this new a few days ago. Got the electric hooked up and got it leveled and bolted to floor. Could not find the break-in procedure in the manual, so I called IR and they said to run it 15 minute with no load. Two problems when running - the oil was milky/foam and the belt had a lot of play. After talking with IR tech service they said it was water/condensation in the oil. Had to change the oil 4 times to finally get all the water out and get the oil to look normal thru the sight glass. Finally was able to get the motor/pulley properly aligned and tightened per the manual - works fine now.
Phone conversations with IR tech service - easy to get thru to someone, knew the product, and very helpful.
Disappointed with having the two problems and spending money on the expensive oil plus the time and aggrevation. These problems were from initial startup and that simply should not happen.
I bought the TSC 4 year warranty - so hopefully I will be covered if there are any future problems.
This is the low end IR compressor and will probably be great for my hobby use and last a long time. However, if I were buying for everyday business use I would get something with a better motor and features. I knew the problems this model has had from looking at the reviews on the internet before I bought it. Its a big compressor that can handle just about everything for fixing and painting a car - at a great price.
Buy the warranty! It still cheaper than others.

This is one of the best Items and best customer service I have ever got! Lets start with shipping, Outstanding went above and beyond to make the delivery easy for me to get it into my garage. Next Setup wiring and using - setup was perfect easy to do, even my wife could have done it, wiring no problem 2 wires and a ground. Running all my air tools from a DA to a Air File you name it she runs it with out a problem even after making and installing my after cooler it even runs my sandblaster without a problem!

Compressor switch is bad brand new, got it all wired up then couldn't get it to start, finally found the one contact was bad, cleaned it and bet it up which got it to work but after a day of use it doesn't kick on by itself.
Every air connection on the tank was loose and leaking but did seal just from tightening
No, I do not recommend this product.

I found a leak at the shutoff valve and contacted Ingersoll rand regarding it. I was told nearest service was in Pennsylvania. Was directed to a video and suggested I fix myself. fixed the leak and found others. returned to tractor supply and was supplied with another and a discount for all the troubles I had with the first one. Got it home and installed and found the 3/1/2 inch bung plug on the side loose and tightened and good as I could. otherwise it seams to work as intended although it does take a while to build up pressure.
