It's a great little saw.....

I have two Stihl 290 farm boss saws purchased in 2002 & 2009, both saws still run great without problems, the Husky 440e has a smaller motor and is 5pounds lighter than the 290's but if you keep a sharp chain and know how to cut fire wood the saw does pretty well for it self. (All three of my saws have 18"bars)... When you get older (like me) a lighter saw is a big advantage cutting 8 cords of firewood, and this saw seems to be ok..... BUT unlike the Stihl 290 with its big 54cc motor; the Husky 440e saw only has a 40cc motor so keep the chain sharp or you will invite problems....

I bought a Husqvana 440E and right from the box had nothing but TROUBLE. I used top grade fuel and Husqvarna oil filled it up with the fuel mixture and bar oil, it started right up I thought alright time to go cutting wood "WRONG" Every time I would start into a log it would bog down, heck you wouldn't have be cutting and it would bog down. I haven't ran 2 tanks of fuel through it and nothing but trouble, I took it to 2 different authorized husqvarna repair centers to get it fixed I thought maybe the Carb needed adjusted but no, one place told me I had a piece of junk the other place is still working with it but said they've replaced almost everything on the saw and it's still doing it. These repair guys seem real nice and are really trying but they say they are stumped so now I guess we're waiting on Husqvqrna to decide what to do with the saw but in the meantime I need to be cutting wood. I mean this is a brand new saw come on.

Horrible quality

Bought on this past Friday for use on Saturday. 1 hr into work it died wouldn’t start back up. Returned, of course tractor supply didn’t have same size in stock so I upgraded. Used for 20 mins today went to crank back up and string pulled out. Almost 500 for a saw that dosent work husq has went way down in quality. Tractor supply workers were great but the saw is cheap and not made well at all. I was cutting 2-3” limbs nothing big. Don’t waste your money get a Stihl

Just picked up this Husqvarna 440 and man, what a solid little beast! Super lightweight and balanced, so it’s easy on the arms for longer sessions. Low vibration too, which is a nice bonus.
