It wouldn't start. We brought it back to Tractor Supply and an employee couldn't start it either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve run a lot of saws over the years, and the Husqvarna 450 Rancher with the 20-inch bar hits that sweet spot between homeowner convenience and serious cutting power. Right out of the box, it starts easy and runs strong. The X-Torq engine has plenty of torque to chew through hardwood without bogging down. I’ve cut everything from seasoned oak to fresh pine, and it just keeps pulling. The 20-inch bar is perfect — long enough to handle big logs in one pass, but still balanced enough that it doesn’t feel unwieldy. One thing I really appreciate is the vibration dampening. After a long cutting session, your hands aren’t buzzing like they would be with cheaper saws. It’s also noticeably fuel-efficient for a gas saw of this size. Build quality is solid. It feels durable and well-engineered, not plasticky or flimsy. The side-mounted chain tensioner makes adjustments simple, and maintenance access is straightforward. If you’re clearing property, cutting firewood regularly, or just want something that won’t struggle when the job gets tough, this saw delivers. It’s powerful, reliable, and built to last. Highly recommend for anyone who wants pro-level performance without stepping into full commercial pricing.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good saw but very cheap

Started very easy but bogged and died when revving. Had to adjust carb and now runs good. There are no front teeth guards so the log hits the front cover which is made of plastic. Also uses a lot of bar oil and have not found a way to adjust it yet, but for the price it does cut wood.

No, I do not recommend this product.
