The Husqvarna 545 Mark II Gas Chainsaw features best-in-class cutting capacity that's ready for small and midsize tree trimming, felling and bucking. Smart Start offers an effortless start-up with a side-mounted tensioning system for simple slack adjustments. This gas powered chainsaw is equipped with Air Injection, a centrifugal air cleaning system, that removes dust and debris before it reaches the air filter, to improve engine life and reduce air filter cleanings. Additionally, AutoTune optimizes engine performance throughout various working conditions, compensating for things like different fuels, altitude, humidity, temperature and clogged air filters. For easy handling, this gas chainsaw is designed with a low, slender saw body and an anti-vibration system. The powerful, efficient 3.6 HP X-Torq engine reduces emissions (up to 60%) and increases fuel efficiency (up to 20%). It uses Husqvarna 2-stroke lubricant with a 50:1 oil tank volume (0.68 US pint or 0.32L tank volume).

Went in looking for a bigger chainsaw to handle the firewood around the cabin. I have a lot of logs and my Husqvarna 235 wasn't getting the job done quick enough. This one sure does. It was a step up in price from what I wanted (a 455 Rancher), but it's the only model with a 20" bar that the store had. It's crazy powerful and starts right up. I've run about four tanks of gas through it so far. Very happy. Good purchase. Loggers who live next door were duly impressed. Looking forward to years of cutting with this one.

Difficult to run.

Probably a good saw, if you can start it when you need it. Difficult and very particular cold start procedure. Too picky for me, and I returned it. I need a chainsaw to work every time and not ve so difficult to start.

Long day of use and ZERO tuning.

The auto tune works very well. I have not had an issue with starting or the auto optimization for the 4-5 years since I bought it. I have had 2 x-force bars fail sooner than they should have. They do have a rotating chain sprocket the links ride over on the tip. IMHO, this makes it safer than other models if a chain link failed. The cut is quick and it runs & oils well. 3.6 HP, lightweight under 12 lbs & a vibration dampening system that actually works keeps me going longer than any other chainsaw I have owned.
