Q: Is this oil non toxic to cattle? I use my saw to cut open round bales of hay to feed cattle. I clean my saw and change to 100% mineral oil ever time I cut bales. Having not to clean and change oils would be nice.

- A: We couldn't determine toxicity to cattle with certainty but the oil is likely NOT toxic in small doses. Of course, everything in moderation. Our suggestion is to prevent cattle from coming into contact with the oil if possible but oil fling from the bar, remnants on cut branches/wood or even a small spill on the ground shouldn’t hurt the animals. Just to reiterate, though, we strongly suggest that users prevent their animals from coming into contact directly with the oil.4 years agoHelpful?

- A: Hello texan1955. Thank you for your question. Husqvarna's premium bar and chain oil is virgin oil, not reclaimed oils. It is a premium blend of vegetable-based oil and tackifier additives; it's 80% canola oil which allows for most of the oil to biodegrade within 21 days and has excellent lubricating qualities which extend bar, chain and sprocket life. It is also non-toxic with a high flash point and viscosity.8 years agoHelpful?

Cracked container leaked

Only used 2 tanks and came back out next morning to see the container they used had cracked and dumped almost a half gallon on my garage floor. I will stick with the inexpensive oils, never seen this before. Disappointed
EDIT: Husqvarna replies here to make it seem like they care. But after you contact them they won't do anything to help. Was told to buy from a dealer, like that would change anything. You will never see anything Husqvarna in my garage from now on
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this for my husband to use on his chainsaw and he says it works great. I'm glad I bought it when I did because several Tractor Supply stores were running low, only having one left in stock and this brand is well worth the money.
