A great addition to any shop needing to shape and finish contours. The G8749 Drum / Flap Sander is generally used for edge contour sanding using the sanding drum or for round or spherical sanding using the flap sander.

On one side, choose between the included 3-1/4" diameter or 4-3/4" diameter inflatable sanding drums.

On the other is a 10-1/2" diameter by 7-3/4" long flap sander with twelve abrasive flaps backed up by flexible bristle brushes.

Order replacement flap sandpaper in 6" wide rolls in the grit of your choice.

The H2491 Replacement Flap Brushes for Model G8749 are available.

Like all Grizzly sanders, the G8749 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects.

The G8749 manual was written by our U.S. based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information.

The complete-and-easy to read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your sander.

Works great, changing paper is very difficult.

I use this for finishing resoled rock climbing shoes, works great! However, as everyone has pointed out, swapping out the sandpaper and/or brushes on the flap side is crazy hard. I'd reengineer that. Otherwise, works really well for my purpose.

Drum sander

The first thing was some of the sandpaper came flying off. The sanding drum on the left side is out of balance. The shaft needs to be longer. The design allows too much play to center the drum. If I could I would send it back for a refund. Poor design on the flap sander. Installing the paper is a nightmare
